Like I said before in some past post, I do not know how to programming. But my mind is full of questions about the possibilities in programming homebrews utilities and games for the Dreamcast. So, I have some questions...
1. The Dreamcast SD adapter is a great handmade piece. You can run games from the SD card and create homebrews with SD card support, like the emulators MAME4All, Gens4All and SNES4All (you can load ROMs from both CD and SD Card). But I got one thing in mind... Once the Dreamcast can read only GDs or CDs (officially), programmers have a little space to create a game, compared to a DVD. The question is: Is it possible to create a game (or other homebrews) for the Dreamcast using a CD + SD Card combo? Like this... If you create a game with part of this game in a disc and the other part in the SD Card, the part in the disc can check the content of the SD Card and run files from both CD and SD Card together. If there's no game content in the SD Card (or just no SD Card in the Serial port), the disc content can run a demo version of the game, a light/limited version of the game, or the game can ask for a SD Card with the rest of the game content.
2. It's possible to program and create a connection in 2 Dreamcasts using the DC Modem and connect one with other directly? If yes, what would be the transfer rate?
3. The same question above, but, this time, using the broadband adapter.
