need help here please.

i have finally got dreamshell to load from my sd card. not an easy task btw.
have a game which i've downloaded (from dcisozone) and dropped onto the card which is visible in my DS file manager.
Dreamshell is also loaded from sd card and boots up fine.

problem is the game doesnt load !
just hangs there with loading info on the screen.

tried 2 games -both won't load. both silly games -centipede and Namco museum! I already have retail games but would really like to get this thing running from my serial port/adapter.

am i putting the wrong files into my game folder?
i thought i could just extract the sdiso onto a separate folder on the sd card.

appreciate any hint here thx

oh by the way simple language please -this is my 1st attempt at playing (or not playing) anything not wrapped and ready to go.

please use capital letters it’s easier to read and some punctuation doesn’t hurt

Images from dcisozone don't work on RC1, because it have not normal IP.BIN, just fake.

i've looked over the list in Tuxs' compatible game list but the links are broken.

a lot of the notes I'm reading point to dcisozone for sd idos -darn!
thanks swat, I'll go back to the dreamshell download site to see if i can find more info for REAL IP.BIN files.

@queen, I was suggesting you Sqrxz game, to check does you have hardware problem or software problem. Sqrxz works both with Beta4 and RC1.

If you want retail games, there's theisozone site. All SDISO games was moved from dcisozone to theisozone. Games for RC1 are marked with "DU".

For example:
Red Dog (SD-ISO) DU
Mars Matrix (SD-ISO) DU
Silver (SD-ISO) DU
Soulcalibur (SD-ISO) DU

No good news here.

Tried on 2 different cards -both reformatted, added DS and your game.

I think this really is a "shell of a dream" at this point.
Shouldn't be this difficult for an end user to get a program to run.
"Some programming knowledge" should be added to the swat download site.

while i apprecite the help and input --- very disappointed !!

I purchased another SD card -exactly as pictured on the sites that sell the reader. A lotta info on how to purchse BTW.

You want to run directly 1ST_READ.BIN??

You don't have to unpack iso file. This is not needed.
You have to just copy, whole iso file, to your SD card.
