Can someone please explain which bios is which. I know the link83 bios is the alternative boot up animation and is region free. Is there a region free bios available on the dreamshell disk that I can write which will load with the original retail (NTSC-U) boot up animation? Thanks!

Try this bios
Choose the retail Bios.
This is based on link83 with added features.
More info on the Bios here
You can put the file anywhere you like or you can just add the bios to your "DS/firmware/bios/sega/" folder on your SD or HDD.

This BIOS appears to also have the devkit 3d animation on the boot screen. I basically wan't all those features of the link83 BIOS except with a retail boot screen. Does one like that exist anywhere?

Woohoo! It works!! It's exactly what I wanted. I didn't have a SD mod, so I rebuilt the cdi image to include the .bin with Boot Dream. Leaned something new today, too. Thanks for the help!

The devkit animation is really cool for about a week....then it got old to me too. It is neat showing it too people for the first time though
