I had a problem with a
Dreamcast VA0
All works,but
"port controller" doesn't work
The dreamcast works
without I plug the
"port controller"...
And if I put the
"dreamcast controller" nothing... no vmu noise.
So have you a solution to fix that?

Yes all port don't work.
I tested different card nothing.
Replace fuse(resistor) on controller board
No swat I repeat,I tested 4 controller board who works with other dreamcast.
I know the resistor ^^
This time the problem is the MAINBOARD,who don't take the controller board...
check power on fuse(resistor)
Those other controller boards are for VA0?
VA1 controller board doesn't work on VA0 console.
Ho really,controller va1 doesn't work on va0 ..?

It's not possible to see the differences only visually, but if you check the points with a continuity meter you will see.
Ok it's just if I have 2 controller pad,to know where is VA0 et where is VA1
And you think it's possible to convert a VA1 to VA0..? ^^
Don't worth the trouble, you would have to rewire a lot of things.

check the cooler conector pins to differentiate the controller boards. The VA0 have two pins, but the VA1 have 3 pins (one for sensor).
Ho perfect, now I can know if it's controller va0 or va1 :-)
