This page describes an FPGA based piece of hardware that serves as a drop-in replacement for the GDROM drive in a Dreamcast. It uses data from a micro SD card to provide sector data and CD-DA streaming that would otherwise come from a CD or GD disc, thus simplifying development of disc-based software.
The supported features are:

Sector read in all formats
Audio track playback including subchannel Q emulation
Multiple disc images on the same SD card (switched by removing and reinserting the card)
The design files for the hardware, and the source code for the FPGA bitstream and software, can be found on GitHub.

i very interested want to know approximate compatibility and costs compare GDEmu and USB-GDROM?this is a cheap solution? Rolleyes
so, how good/stable/compatibility is it ?

thank you link, okay i found answers:

seem high costs, lower speed(1/2 or 1/3 GD speed) and FMV stutters Sad
FPGA based GDROM Emulator is prototype
the source code is quite interesting)) if I have time I'll try to use it.
actually, the Latice's fpga chip is the most cheap, ~1$ for simple fpga w/ RAM buffer
