Having issues with my IDE to SATA adapter. I can get it to work but not consistently by removing pin 1. With Pin 1 connected it hangs at the bootloader LBA screen.

Can someone explain what megavolt85 was saying when he said "connect Pin 1(reset) via 10k resistor to VCC."?

just solder resistor 10k from 3.3v to 1 pin of IDE mod. You must use SATA to IDE adapter not IDE to SATA and primary you must make IDE mod for connect your SATA to IDE adapter. Your adapter must be in SLAVE mode not in Master
