Dreamshell cannot save settings - MeteK - 29.04.2016 22:41

Hello !

First, thanks for Dreamshell, it's amazing.

Second i want to change DS video mode.

I go to settings for it and change it, but the settings aren't saved.

Wht do i do wrong ?

VMU inserted in controller port A slot 1 ?

RE: Dreamshell cannot save settings - MeteK - 30.04.2016 04:20

Absolutely

RE: Dreamshell cannot save settings - megavolt85 - 30.04.2016 04:27

VMU is original?

RE: Dreamshell cannot save settings - MeteK - 30.04.2016 04:34

Yep original Sega.

Boot settings are saving, not native screen.

My DC is a pal console, i only change broadcast to NTSC, and region is still PAL.

But i want DS in 480i NTSC, and is always in auto mode when i come back to settings...

Try remove old settings file from VMU and then save it again.
I have some issue Sad Seems it's a bug in VMU fs code, the file does not removed before save new.

I've tried also... same result ...

I've also tried to completely format the VMU, same result...

Yes, same thing happens here, the video settings can not be saved.

RE: Dreamshell cannot save settings - MeteK - 02.05.2016 04:41

And without saving, no changes ...

Ohh, ok, seems it's a bug...

For applying native video mode need reboot... But it really possible to do, it's just some protection (I do it specially), because if you change PAL/NTSC to VGA your get black screen, because different cable and you can't save settings or return back, because doesn't see UI.

Ok and can we modify a file manually until you fix this bug ?

Oh and i have another question, i've got a flashed bios with bootloader, how can i change date/time settings without booting "official" bios ? ?
