Ok I've done some more extensive testing. Here are the results:

These games still don't:

AeroWings 2 - Black screen when starting a game.
Alone in the Dark - Unable to start a new game. Always asks for disc 2 when loading one.
Championship Surfer - Won't boot.
Grand Theft Auto 2 - Stuck in Demo Mode loop.
Last Blade 2 - Won't boot.
MagForce Racing - Stuck in Demo Mode loop.
NFL Blitz 2000 - Won't boot.
Re-Volt - Races won't start.
Slave Zero - Very glitchy and not playable.
Speed Devils Online - Races won't start.

Overall, DreamShell is now at 95% compatibility. :-D I'll be testing PSO shortly to see if the heal/revive bug is fixed...

Is anyone else finding that games ran using this loader always start in 50hz, even if they are NTSC copies? Both Ready 2 Rumble and Shenmue seem to do this for me.

Well I have some bad news, PSO doesn't work at all with this loader. Just a black screen. :-(

Most of the games I test are NTSC-U but PSO v.2 is the PAL version because it doesn't have the Hunter's Licence check.

Just tested Soul Calibur from a HDD and it works! A CF/SSD is no longer required with the new loader. :-)

Il wish to try soulcalibur too, I want to check if the ground during the beginning of the intro is still green.

I don't understand why you can't play alone in the dark with à pal console it works well just the FMV are a very little slowy but everything must be right with this wonderfull loader now.
If I understand well the dma is still on with this new loader, maybe PSO run only in PIO ? The good new with that is the wince games run too as it has been notice.

I gave it a quickly try but I have the partition problem... The loader "said" I have some from 2 to 5 depend the game ^^
I guess I have to put the DS folder on my SSD.

Yeah I know PSO v.2 won't run with DMA on the old loader. Although PSO v.1 ran with DMA on the old loader but that won't boot on this loader either. I'm guessing there must be another issue.

Could it be something to do with booting the game using KOS? Here's a post that was made by Aleron Ives recently on the Assembler forum:

Ah interesting. So the new loader does something that PSO doesn't like I'm guessing? I know PSO is notoriously picky about a lot of things so it's more of a challenge to get working that the other games. If you can get it working perfectly, I will be very happy. Big Grin

I opened track03.iso with a hex editor but I can't find "12D111D0 02621942". Looked in both US v1 and PAL v2.

I found it! It wasn't in the shrunken version of the game. I re-downloaded it and just did optimization without shrinking.

Edit: PSO v.1 is now working but v.2 still doesn't boot as expected. Waiting on 2nd patch... :-)
