Did anyone got to play Sonic Adventure 2 last story on dreamshell - leonardorg - 28.01.2024 17:37

Sonic Adventure 2 have an infamous anti-copy protection that let you play the entire game until the last story, then, it removes the collision from the last stage (the eggman part) making the stage almost unbeatble, this anti copy protection is triggered on dreamshell too, and the only way to get past is to burn a disc of a certain hacked version of this game, that don't work on dreamshell. did anyone here managed to make this stage woks with dreamshell some way ??

I don't think it's an antiparacy measure as I've seen reports of this happening on real consoles with real discs. probably just a bad image

Yes, i've heard that this happened with the aniverssary edition disc, and sega had to make a recall of this discs, but i have tried several images, including images that matched the redump checksums (converted with the iso make pack), and the image from the definitive collection thread, all of them with the same problem, the only way to get past that stage was burning the echelon release on a cd-r.
