AeroWings 2 не могу проверить он без VGA, но он запускается вроде. Нужно остальные перепроверять тоже.

There is a question: can the new version of the BIOS chip flasher only be limited to flashing 2M files? Can it flash 4M BIOS files?

Currently is not. But 4MB chips can be flashed, but not as one linear 4MB write. The Dreamcast only maps 2MB of BIOS ROM, so a 4MB image is two 2MB banks: flash the first half, switch the bank (switch or GPIO, depending on the mod), then flash the second half.

I noticed something interesting with the Japanese Sega Rally 2 (on 4.0.3). It plays music in the online lobby. I thought this was normal until I played the original disc and saw that there was no music in the lobby. This is the first time I've encountered DreamShell playing music in a place where the original disc doesn't. lol

That’s interesting. It’s possible there’s simply a bug in the game that doesn’t affect the DreamShell. The loader could not start the music without a request from the game, but it would not stop it if it was already playing.

Yeah I was thinking it could be a bug in the game as well because the music fits the lobby very well. It's not just playing random race music.

Перепрошил Holy BIOS новой сборкой. Результат - чёрный экран, но звук загрузки Dreamshell есть.

I flashed the regular bootloader-retail BIOS. Is it possible this is causing my issues?

I did test NBA 2K2 and NFL 2K2 with default settings and 8с004000 and now they boot fine. I guess the correct settings changed from the last release. I still can't boot Ooga Booga or Floigan Bros. though. I tried with two different CF cards (Transcend and SanDisk) but they don't work on either. Tested both low-level and 8с004800 without low-level. I also tried the ide.bin from both 4.0.2 and 4.0.3 and they still don't boot. Reverting DreamShell back to 4.0.3, they boot fine.

Could you make work AW games in DS 4.0.3/4.0.4 in HDD-IDE?
i just can NOT make work a lot of games that used to work on previus DS release

Tell me exactly which games; I tested a few, and they worked fine.

I noticed another issue today. In-game browsers only work with low-level. At least with Sega Marine Fishing anyway. I assume it will be the same with other games with in-game browsers. Using low-level is normally fine but Sega Marine Fishing won't boot with low-level in 4.0.4.
