by the way, I think I might have accedently found out something helpful to the argument about sata and cf here with soul calibur;

sc gdi optimized pal; didnt work at all

sc gdi not optimized pal; worked partially, starting movie green stops before kilik appears, character select screen no picture glitch but no music, game freeze on loading of first fight.

sc gdi optimized ntsc/uc ;worked partially, starting movie green stops before kilik appears, character select screen there is picture glitch., game freezes on loading of first fight.

what i think is : type of gdi matters
