ISO Loader 0.7.x Beta

I noticed a bug with Soldier of Fortune (this happened on the previous loader as well). Any time you go through a door, the door texture will appear and disappear randomly. Not a game-breaking bug by any means but figured I'd mention it. Maybe it can be fixed.

pcwzrd13, this is a problem with the timer, unfortunately I have not yet solved this problem
when I decide it compatibility will be about 99.8%
almost all not working games require proper timer settings

Ah ok. So any minor bugs or glitches that might be in games would likely be caused by this? Do you think this might be the issue with PSO or would that be something else?

yep.
I experimented with the value of the timer and sometimes it led to glitches
I don't understand why this happens, the game always reinstalls the timer without reading its initial value.

Played some Planet Ring tonight and noticed some really strange bugs. Possibly timer related? In Ball Bubble, there were a lot of "Synch Errors" which would cause the board to reset. It was playable but a bit annoying. lol The weirdest bug I noticed was in Splash though. The game would say that I sunk my opponent's ship when I didn't even hit him. No problems with the other two games though.

I've been testing my game library though this version of the ISO Loader and I've found Segagaga and Puyo Puyo Fever now work compared to the 0.6 version. However, Sonic Adventure 2 (NTSC-J) no longer boots and freezes on a black screen immediately after loading. I've tested multiple dumps of the game from GD Ripper including the NTSC-U version and verified them against the TOSEC and Redump databases and made sure the original pre-optimized GDI dumps work in Demul and IxDream and sadly it refuses to boot through the ISO Loader.

Does run fine through the GD-Player from the original GD-ROM disc though.

Unfortunately not, this is designed specifically for loading games from an IDE source.

no, i'm write loader only for IDE
The possibilities of the SD card are very limited, you should not wait for an improvement for this mod

Just tested the PAL version. Same result. Must be BIOS protection.

is there the possibility of leaving a version 0.7x compatible with HD 80gb? my 200GB HDD and 320GB IDE does not work in this current version.

Normally it must works if it worked with previous version.

Have you defragmented your HDD ?

Worse than I did not test in the previous version because the 80 GB was good size for me. but with the new version the 80GB does not load the games for being LBA28 so I turned on the other HD bigger and none works, but it was worth the hint I will test those HD in an earlier version. Are the HDs formatted anyway do you need to defragment?

The GDIs you use with the loader must NOT be fragmented, the easiest way to ensure this is to set up all of your files in a folder on your PC. Then when you are ready to transfer them, format the drive and then copy them over; the actions of overwriting or moving files on the drive is what causes fragmentation to occur.
